...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM EDT /830 AM CDT/ THIS 
MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following 
  counties, Hamilton, Marion and Sequatchie.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM EDT /830 AM CDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 723 AM EDT /623 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
    rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly
    in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chattanooga, Dunlap, Jasper, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain,
    South Pittsburg, Walden, Lakesite, Whitwell, Kimball,
    Monteagle, Ridgeside, Fairmount, Harrison, Red Bank,
    Collegedale, Graysville, Powells Crossroads, Orme and Lone
    Oak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
