...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south Texas, including the following 
  counties, Aransas, Kleberg, Nueces and San Patricio.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 333 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Corpus Christi, Portland, Robstown, Taft, Corpus Christi
    International Airport, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Gregory,
    Ingleside On The Bay, Corpus Christi North Beach, Downtown
    Corpus Christi, Cole Park, Del Mar College Heritage Campus,
    Driscoll Childrens Hospital, Del Mar College Windward Campus,
    La Palmera Mall, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, Corpus
    Christi Country Club, Cabaniss Field and Bay Area Medical
    Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
