...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Runnels, Shackelford and 
  Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 1230 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is 
  occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 916 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 3 and 8 inches of rain
    have fallen since Thursday evening.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Southeastern Abilene, Coleman, Clyde, Winters, Baird, Cross
    Plains, Tuscola, Lawn, Moran, Novice, Putnam, Oplin, Rowden,
    Dudley, Eula, Silver Valley, Potosi, Burkett, Atwell and Glen
    Cove.
  - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 289 and 323.

    This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    I-20 Frontage Roads west of Clyde, I-20 Frontage Roads near
    Baird, I-20 Frontage Roads near Putnam, FM-RD 136 crossing
    Hords Creek, Liveoak crossing Hords Creek, County Road 482
    crossing South Fork Jim Ned Creek, County Road 485 crossing
    Indian Creek, County Road 105 crossing Deadman Creek, County
    Road 244 crossing North Prong Pecan Bayou and County Road 112
    crossing Deadman Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
