...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following 
  counties, Callahan, Jones, Shackelford and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 552 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Abilene, Anson, Merkel, Tye, Tuscola, Hawley, Buffalo Gap,
    Dyess Afb, Caps, Hamby, View, Potosi, Nugent, Impact, Hodges,
    Lake Fort Phantom Hill, Kirby Lake, Stith, Truby and Funston.
  - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 268 and 295.

    This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Intersections along Sammons Street, Intersections along
    Buttonwillow Parkway, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw
    Drive, Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Butternut Underpass,
    South 27th Street at Catclaw Creek, FM 3308 crossing Draw,
    2000 block of Oak Street, Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow
    Creek and North 6th Street and Willis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
