...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Dry wash, small stream, and river flooding caused by 
  excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Utah, including the following county, 
  Emery.

* WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Flows in the San 
  Rafael River are expected to be elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 237 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause dry wash, small stream, and
    river flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Central Emery County.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry 
washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a 
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
