...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and north central 
  Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, 
  Hanover. In east central Virginia, Essex, King William and King 
  and Queen. In north central Virginia, Caroline.

* WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 743 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Saint Stephens Church, Champlain, Hanover, Newtown,
    Beulahville, Aylett, Mangohick, Dawn, Millers Tavern, Kings
    Dominion, Gether, Salvia, Owenton, Duane Fork, Central Point,
    Globe, Upshaw, Beazley, Pollards Corner and Sparta.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
