.An area of showers is continuing to locally heavy rain over the 
Kitsap Peninsula and Hood Canal area, moving northeastward towards 
the greater Seattle area and western Snohomish County, where lesser 
rainfall amounts have been observed thus far.

...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington, 
  including the following counties, in northwest Washington, Island, 
  Jefferson, Kitsap and Mason. In west central Washington, King, 
  Pierce, Snohomish and Thurston.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is 
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 303 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, Everett, Kent, Federal Way,
    Marysville, Bremerton, Arlington, Shelton, Belfair, Renton,
    Redmond, Kirkland, Bothell, Burien, Des Moines, Lake Stevens,
    Mill Creek and Woodinville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
