FOR SOUTHWESTERN POTTAWATTAMIE...NORTHERN SARPY...SOUTHWESTERN
WASHINGTON...SOUTHEASTERN DODGE...DOUGLAS AND EASTERN SAUNDERS
COUNTIES...

At 558 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 2 miles west of Arlington to near Fort Calhoun to
Council Bluffs, moving northeast at 40 mph.

THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR PORTIONS OF POTTAWATTAMIE, SARPY, 
WASHINGTON, DODGE, DOUGLAS, AND SAUNDERS COUNTIES.

HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Emergency management. These storms have produced widespread 
         wind damage to trees, powerlines, structures, and cars. In 
         addition, we recently measured a 76 mph wind gust at our 
         office.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect 
         considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. 
         Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Locations impacted include...
Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, Ralston, Gretna,
Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Millard, La Vista, Carter Lake,
Ashland, Valley, Arlington, Yutan, Waterloo, Mead, Ithaca, and
Leshara.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are currently 
producing widespread wind damage across Douglas County. SEEK SHELTER 
NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
