The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee FL out 20 NM...

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 148 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Middle Cape Sable, or near Northwest
  Cape Sable, moving north at 50 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Chokoloskee, Big Lostmans Bay, Shark Point, Chevelier Bay,
  Northwest Cape Sable, Middle Cape Sable, D Tower, Highland Point,
  and Whitewater Bay.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southwestern
Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
