  Kauai Leeward Waters...

* Until 500 PM HST.

* At 300 PM HST, a strong thunderstorm was located 25 nm south of
  Southern Tip of Niihau, or 40 nm southwest of Kekaha, moving south
  at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding
