The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Florence to Cape Blanco OR out 10 nm...

* Until 1015 AM PDT.

* At 1001 AM PDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located 9 nm south of Cape Arago, moving east at 40
  knots. The storm will move inland between 1015 and 1025 AM PDT.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small 
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, small hail, high waves, dangerous
lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm.
