The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued
a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal Waters from Pigeon Point to Point Pinos California out to
  10 nm...
  Monterey Bay...

* Until 415 PM PDT.

* At 342 PM PDT, showers capable of producing waterspouts were
  located along a line extending from 9 nm southwest of Santa Cruz
  Harbor to near Point Pinos, moving northeast at 25 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small 
           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Santa Cruz Harbor and Moss Landing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
