...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT THE PAGE AND LAKE 
POWELL AREAS IN COCONINO COUNTY THROUGH 615 PM MST...

At 600 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Antelope Island, or near Page, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Glen Canyon Dam, Lower Antelope Canyon, Labyrinth Canyon, Trapeze
Cove, Page, Antelope Island, Wahweap, Wild Horse Mesa, Page Municipal
Airport, Elm Street Fitness Park, Golliard Park, Tower Butte,
Antelope Point Marina, Owl Canyon, Stateline Wash Slot Canyon,
Rattlesnake Canyon, and LeChee.

This includes the following highways...
 State Route 98 near mile marker 549.
 U.S. Highway 89 between mile markers 548 and 555.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If on or near Lake Powell, get out of the water and move indoors or 
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
