...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT APACHE AND NAVAJO COUNTIES
THROUGH 800 PM MDT/700 PM MST...

At 719 PM MDT/619 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Sonsela Buttes to near
Greasewood Springs. Movement was north at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Matthews Peak, Low Mountain, Canyon De Chelly National Monument,
Chinle Municipal Airport, Tsintaa Yiti Ii, Sawmill, Mummy Cave
Overlook, White Clay, Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site,
Tsaile, Smoke Signal, Cornfields, Indian Wells, Greasewood Springs,
Wheatfields Lake, Upper Forest Mountain, Choyojdolid, Totshoh,
Sunrise Springs, and Toyei.

This includes the following highways...
 State Route 264 between mile markers 398 and 464.
 Highway 191 between mile markers 400 and 452.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
