...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT YAVAPAI AND COCONINO COUNTIES
THROUGH 915 AM MST...

At 844 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Winona to Mescal
Trailhead. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible. Hail accumulation will cause slick roadways.

Locations impacted include...
Flagstaff, Sedona, Dairy Springs Campground, Submarine Rock, Pyramid
Mountain Trailhead, Forked Pine CG, Chimney Rock, Fisher Point,
Cosnino, Midgely Bridge Swimming Hole, Sedona Airport, West Fork
Trailhead, Schnebly Hill Overlook, Munds Park, Dairy Springs CG,
Junipine Resort, Schuerman Mountain Trailhead, Munds Mountain
Wilderness, Soldier Pass Trailhead, and Garland's Oak Creek Lodge.

This includes the following highways...
 Route 66 between mile markers 203 and 204.
 Interstate 40 between mile markers 203 and 222.
 Interstate 17 between mile markers 316 and 335.
 State Route 179 between mile markers 309 and 313.
 State Route 89A between mile markers 365 and 392.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
