...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT YAVAPAI AND COCONINO COUNTIES
THROUGH 1000 AM MST...

At 929 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Marshall Lake to near Red
Rock Visitor Center. Movement was northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible. Hail may cause the roadways to become slick.

Sedona, Dairy Springs Campground, Beaverhead Flat, Submarine Rock,
Wet Beaver Creek Day Use Area, Pyramid Mountain Trailhead, Chimney
Rock, Fisher Point, Midgely Bridge Swimming Hole, Sedona Airport,
West Fork Trailhead, Schnebly Hill Overlook, House Mountain Trail
Lookout, Munds Park, Dairy Springs CG, Junipine Resort, Village of
Oak Creek, Schuerman Mountain Trailhead, Munds Mountain Wilderness,
and Soldier Pass Trailhead.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 17 between mile markers 297 and 332.
 State Route 179 between mile markers 299 and 313.
 State Route 89A between mile markers 370 and 386.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
