...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL TULARE COUNTY
THROUGH 600 PM PDT...

At 528 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Three Rivers, or 29 miles northeast of Porterville, moving northwest
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Three Rivers, Shadequarter Mtn, Atwell Mill Campground, Potwisha
Campground, Wolverton Point, Case Mountain, Ash Mountain Sequoia Park
HQ, and Buckeye Flat Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
