...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL KERN COUNTY THROUGH
845 PM PDT...

At 757 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles southwest of Inyokern, or 20 miles west of Ridgecrest, moving
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs. A Flash Flood 
         Warning is also in effect for this storm. 

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Kern
County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
