...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southwestern Latah
and northwestern Nez Perce Counties through 1030 PM PDT...

At 954 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Genesee, or 9 miles southeast of Moscow, moving north at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Moscow, Genesee, Troy, Potlatch, and Joel.

This includes U.S. Highway 95 in Idaho between mile markers 328 and
336, and between mile markers 358 and 361.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
