...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF CENTRAL ST. JOHN THE
BAPTIST AND NORTHWESTERN ST. CHARLES PARISHES THROUGH 1100 AM CDT
...

At 1032 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing funnel clouds near New Sarpy, or near Hahnville,
moving west at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 to 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...If a funnel cloud briefly touches down, minor damage to 
         outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down 
         tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Hahnville, Laplace, Reserve, Killona, Norco, Montz, Destrehan, Taft,
New Sarpy, St. Rose, Edgard, and Luling.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 204 and 219.
 Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 2.
 Interstate 310 between mile markers 3 and 7.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from
the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
