...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN OZARK...SOUTHEASTERN
WRIGHT...EASTERN DOUGLAS...WESTERN HOWELL AND SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS
COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 PM CDT...

At 1210 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles south of Norwood to 8 miles northeast
of Gainesville to near Arkawana. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
West Plains, Bryant Creek State Park, Norfork Lake, Mountain Grove,
Willow Springs, Gainesville, Norwood, Pomona, Bakersfield, South
Fork, Brixey, Tecumseh, Pottersville, Caulfield, Udall, Hardenville,
Vanzant, Zanoni, Gentryville, and Siloam Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

If on or near Norfork Lake, get out of the water and move indoors or 
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
