...STRONG WINDS TO IMPACT THE OUTER BANKS OVERNIGHT...

A strong cold front will bring rapidly strengthening wind gusts 
of 40 to 50 mph out of the northwest as it quickly sweeps through
the area over the next few hours. A few gusts in excess of 50 mph
will be possible, especially along the northern Outer Banks. The 
most likely time for these strong winds to occur will be between
12 AM and 4 AM.

Loose outdoor objects may be blown about, and a few downed trees 
with localized power outages are possible.
