...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY 
UNTIL 145 PM MDT...

At 112 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over 
Glencoe, or 11 miles northeast of Ruidoso, moving north at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Ruidoso, Lincoln, Capitan, Lincoln State Monument, Encinoso, Fort 
  Stanton, Smokey Bear Historical Park and Glencoe.

This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 85 and 102.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. 
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe 
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and 
hazardous driving conditions.
