...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SEQUATCHIE...
CENTRAL MARION AND SOUTHWESTERN HAMILTON COUNTIES THROUGH 1230 AM
EDT/1130 PM CDT/...

At 1156 PM EDT/1056 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm near Tracy City, or 9 miles north of Jasper, moving east
at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chattanooga, Signal Mountain, Walden, Whitwell, Fairmount, Red Bank,
Powells Crossroads, Martin Springs, Fiery Gizzard State Park, and
Chimneys State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Morristown.
