...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN BORDEN...CENTRAL
HOWARD...NORTHEASTERN MARTIN AND SOUTHEASTERN DAWSON COUNTIES THROUGH
1115 PM CDT...

At 1025 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lenorah, or 11 miles southwest of Ackerly, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Big Spring, Ackerly, Coahoma, Sand Springs, Lenorah, Luther, Big
Spring Country Club, Sparenberg, Knott, Vealmoor, and Big Spring
McMahon-Wrinkle Airpark.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 173 and 191.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
