JACKSON...GALVESTON...SOUTHEASTERN FORT BEND...BRAZORIA...MATAGORDA
AND SOUTHEASTERN HARRIS COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM CDT...

At 453 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported gusty showers 
producing tropical funnels and potentially a waterspout near 
Sargent. Tropical funnels will be possible in any showers along the 
Gulf coast today, roughly along a line extending from Galveston 
Island East End to Seadrift.

HAZARD...Tropical Funnels and potentially waterspouts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous waters.

Locations impacted include...
Southeastern Pearland, southern League City, Galveston Causeway,
Galveston Island West End, Texas City, Matagorda, southern
Friendswood, Lake Jackson, Alvin, Angleton, Dickinson, Bay City, La
Marque, Santa Fe, Freeport, Clute, Hitchcock, Manvel, Palacios, and
West Columbia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel
clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions
they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a
funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the
National Weather Service.
