...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL MOFFAT AND EAST
CENTRAL UINTAH COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 AM MDT...

At 944 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles northwest of Dinosaur, or 20 miles southeast of Vernal, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and 
         outdoor objects is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Moffat
and east central Uintah Counties.

This includes U.S. Highway 40 in Utah between mile markers 161 and
173.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to 
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded 
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
