...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LEE AND SOUTHWESTERN
SCOTT COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 PM EDT...

At 945 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles southeast of Pennington Gap, or 12 miles east
of Jonesville, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gate City, Pennington Gap, Weber City, Duffield, Clinchport, Jasper,
Fort Blackmore, Dryden, and Pattonsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement

office in Morristown.
