The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Ouray County in southwestern Colorado...
  North central San Miguel County in southwestern Colorado...
  South central Montrose County in west central Colorado...

* Until 545 PM MDT.

* At 512 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Norwood, or
  31 miles southwest of Montrose, moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern Ouray, north central San Miguel and south central
  Montrose Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
