The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Pottawattamie County in southwestern Iowa...
  Western Harrison County in southwestern Iowa...
  Southeastern Burt County in east central Nebraska...
  Washington County in east central Nebraska...
  Eastern Dodge County in east central Nebraska...
  Northeastern Douglas County in east central Nebraska...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 542 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 3 miles east of Hooper to 2 miles east of Bennington
  to 3 miles west of Offutt AFB, moving northeast at 45 mph.

  THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR AREAS INCLUDING BLAIR, 
FORT CALHOUN, TEKAMAH, MISSOURI VALLEY, AND CRESCENT.

  HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Emergency management. These storms have a history of 
           producing widespread wind damage to trees, powerlines, 
           structures, and vehicles.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect 
           considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. 
           Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Northern Omaha, northeastern Council Bluffs, Fremont, Blair,
  Tekamah, Missouri Valley, Logan, Arlington, Underwood, Fort
  Calhoun, Crescent, Mondamin, Nickerson, Kennard, Inglewood, Modale,
  Herman, Craig, Magnolia, and Little Sioux.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 29 between mile markers 61 and 95.
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 5 and 20.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are currently 
producing widespread wind damage across Saunders, Douglas, and 
Washington counties. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and 
stay away from windows!

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
