The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  North central Highlands County in south central Florida...
  Southeastern Polk County in central Florida...

* Until 430 PM EDT.

* At 339 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 9 miles west of Kissimmee Prarie Preserve, or 15 miles
  northwest of Basinger, moving north at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  north central Highlands and southeastern Polk Counties, including
  the following locations... Avon Park Air Force Range, River Ranch,
  and Indian Lake Estates.

TAKE COVER NOW! If your home is flooded, avoid flood waters. If
possible, take shelter in an interior room. Avoid windows. If you are
outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest
