The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  East central Isle of Wight County in southeastern Virginia...
  The northeastern City of Suffolk in southeastern Virginia...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 531 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Kings Fork, or near Downtown Suffolk, moving 
  northeast at 25 mph. A second area capable of producing a tornado 
  was located near the Isle of Wight and City of Suffolk line, about 
  10 miles to the northwest.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Suffolk around 535 PM EDT.
  Crittenden around 550 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Hobson, Carrollton, Longview, Benns Church, Wills Corner, Chuckatuck,
and Kilby.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
